I and my friend were
in his room the other day when I asked him to accompany me so we get junk from
a shop not too far from the room, he said he couldn’t because he didn’t have
the forte to change clothes and couldn’t go out the way he dressed, I took a meticulous
look at him, he wore shorts and a polo, they weren’t all that good but it was
just to get something outside the gate so that shouldn’t be a problem.
“I could wear those anywhere” I told him
“Do I look like you?”
He asked
He sure didn’t , at least not by public standard anyways , I
set a rather ‘simple boy’ standard to people around me and that entailed wearing simple clothes and
no eyebrow would be raised, whilst he set a standard of a luxurious big guy , so him wearing such
outside would look rather absurd and strange;
standards
standards
Its like a football field and fake life, lies, borrow borrow are players
While setting standards could be all shades of easy. The
little problem with setting standards is setting one you can’t live up to just to fit in or impress , what is the point lying to her, when she would find out anyway and leave you to the next guy with your broke a**, and your
debtors begin chasing you with cutlass, when you don’t pay up , calm down life is jeje a time would come and you are going to have
that cash and will need to look back on memories of old times (of course it
just never might come if you don’t accept you are currently wretch and see need
to work hard so that you have no cause to pretend in the future), you can’t
borrow everything to please a girl all in the name of living to a fake standard you set earlier. , borrow money, borrow love lines, borrow
room to gallivant, gosh who knows what else you will borrow , hey! Live the moment!
She thinks she’s Beyoncé? well that’s in her world , we all
know who the real Beyoncé is , be your own superstar don’t let them be
superstars in both their worlds and yours and you are merely a fan in both .
I continually tell my colleagues who tell me ‘i am too quiet’
that they don’t know me, in high school no one made more noise than I did and
that was my standard then: that of a noisemaker
.When I got admission into the university, I decided to set a new standard,
more like that of a quiet weird boy, and trust me it took me almost nothing to
set it, all it took was a decision, and now what do I get? “You are too quiet”,
and am here thinking of a new one to set (lol), it’s that easy; and it’s not a bad thing , like I can’t die without
knowing what it feels like to be called quiet. If you are going to set standards then it should be for the BETTER. You
set the standards to how you are treated by people, no one can make you feel
inferior if you don’t let yourself
People treat you based on the standards you set in front of them,
and you’re capable of changing those standards. You don’t have to have money to
be respected. Set the standard right and live an affordable life , VICTORIA KIMANI in her song ‘booty
bounce’ sang ‘put your money were your mouth is’ ,I would rather say put your mouth were your money is , It
is completely exhausting living to fake
standards and who said no condition is
permanent ? , CONDITIONS ARE PERMANENT
TO FOOLS ,ACCEPT YOUR PLIGHT AND MAKE IT BETTER , FOR SURE WHETHER YOU LIKE IT
OR NOT YOU WILL GET OLD ,WHAT MATTERS IS HOW YOU ARE WHEN YOU GET OLD ,a myserable man who was too ashamed to accept life or one who improved it and now inspires others with his
story .
Own your life, BE YOU, LIVE LIFE AND LET LIFE LIVE, THE
DARKEST HOUR IS JUST BEFORE THE DAWN and at the end of the day you are
responsible to yourself!!
And to the ones that are really big boys living as big boys and they are complaining tell them
'BITCH UP YA GAME!'
