Over the weekend I and my fela’s fell into a rather unusual spat:
children, yeah fairly unusual since i have a lot to think about like school,
career and all , children just seem out of the line. I found their sentiments on
children rather stimulating, especially the one that said he didn't want a girl
child, in his words: "so they go dey f**k everywhere." Okay it
sounded funny we all laughed, then it hit me like a big school yellow bus,
"f****d by who?"😞

it is called sex only when a male
achieves carnal knowledge of a female
according to law that is. Sex doesn't
have a different name for a boy and a girl; it is called sex either ways. So I
totally understand the point made when young ladies parade themselves as
feminists, on sexual grounds, likewise political offices. Living in a society
were men are seen as the bosses by themselves and parents alike (even the mother)
and higher species of animals than the opposite sex, anchored in biblical, historical, and practical 'play play'
back-ups 😁 e.g. the woman begotten from
'Man', obviously insinuating them as second class citizens, definitely can't be
an easy thing for the ladies
Startlingly fact however is, some women don't give a shit
while others can cut off a d*** for it, I almost can feel their frustration, I
mean no one likes to be ordered around or called inferior, no matter the proof
not even when the Bible has a say; it's all a matter of pride and it becomes a
dangerous affair. When females come together fighting to occupy public offices
it seems normal, when it becomes a fight
of cooking and washing clothes I get quite confused, especially with the lazy
jobless ones sitting home all day
ignorantly parading themselves as feminists and still anti-feminize
themselves in their actions!.
Respect is rather
earned
The term feminism like every other term has suffered from
ignorance and misconception, and the annoying thing about ignorance is the fact
every other thing is ignored. Jennifer Lopez wouldn't be singing "I aren’t
doing your laundry, I aren’t your mama, aren’t cooking all day I aren’t your
mama" if she sat home all day watching zee world requesting for Gucci bags
and the likes. Like what else will you be doing except my laundry when all you
do is request. Feminists would have to stop creating an oxymoron amongst themselves;
if you want to be hardcore feminist don't leave out the core qualities. You got
to show him how independent you can be. In pursuing the quest on equality, the
root causes should be the first approach. Same it is with killing grasses for
good. Especially in Africa with the cultures and all
For instance in a society were outrageous bride prices are
paid, were daughters as called commodities, when a man has the conception that
he bought his wife (goods) and quite expensive for that matter, why wouldn't he
feel free to treat her the way he likes, this could be a reason for more
complicated issues like domestic violence, after all when things we buy start
giving us problems we tend to hit it out of frustration (myopically)
Fighting for what you
think is right or what really is right isn’t a bad thing at all, but if you are
going to do so, the facts must be gotten right.
