Four nights ago my loud alarm clock forced my eyes open and somehow my eyes fell on the table calender beside the clock ; the DATE read 15th/NOV/2017. It rang a bell, it struck a hard cord, it looked familiar the '15th' part, it was the same date four years ago as when I first saw my Waec result , and I saw F🙊🙊, seeing F on that sheet of paper for Maths did alot of things to me, things I don't see the point mentioning sha 🙈🙈.
I told a friend who also had an F in a key subject to come let's register for GCE(supplementary waec exam) which was ending the next month but she couldn't take the shame of writing another exam in another school when she refused I registered for the exam that same month (late registration) started the exam and wrote it. Result came out soon and i made my maths! - today I look back on all those and what are they' memories ' nothing more
-keep moving
At some points in all our life's we all feel we have gotten to the end of the road, past experiences has thought me that those challenges are not as difficult as they seem, time would be all the prove you need, there is always a way, sometimes we don't see it because we put pride or shame over our personal growth. By all MEANS keep moving, even if that movement dwells on walking in the path of shame - the future is the target! Not the moment, the moment is the means, years from now all the struggles you go through would be nothing but petty memories. Like what is waec right now when I'm almost getting a Bc in law certificate, Imagine if decided to be stagnant when I failed maths because of shame, I wouldn't be at the stage I am now , and would not have the experience, the experience of that rewrite has really helped me overcome alot of challenges i have faced in university and still helps , so it's safe to say challenges make you stronger and equipped for bigger challenges. As for my friend that didn't take that GCE exam she took it a year after, probably when she realized time wasn't waiting for her, so what was the point of the one year stagnancy?
Keep moving, there is always a way.
Failure is only as bad as your definition of failure. Make d best out of your failure, you can weep, worry, bath in shame, slap yourself, gather momentum, gather courage you can do all those indoors but by all means keep moving, even if you have to crawl, roll, fly, just move!
